Ballet

This summer Jane took her first ballet class. It was a really sweet little one-week camp with a Swan Lake theme. She loved it! I think her favorite part was getting to wear a special outfit: leotard, tights and real ballet shoes!

The last day of camp they had a little recital. Jane was soooo excited, as you can see in the video below, but the most hilarious part was that once the music started, she just stood there, ha! If you keep watching, she does start dancing about halfway through and even does a solo spin at the end. (I sped up some of the slow parts, so this clip isn't as long as the actual dance.) It cracks me up every time I watch it!

Another highlight of the week was getting to share the experience with one of Jane's best little buds, Lilian. So adorable.

How do I look?  

Last week, Jane started a weekly ballet class that will go through the school year. She showed me how they learned to dance as if they had no bones, like a piece of spaghetti. So far so good!
